Indie Dev Tycoon Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
You play without creating an account, and your progress is saved on your device. If you choose, you can sign in to Google Play Games for achievements, a leaderboard and cloud saves; that data is stored by Google. TeamCP runs no game servers. The ad services (Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads) process device information and advertising identifiers needed to deliver ads; on first launch we ask about personalized ads and do not start the ad SDK until you choose.
Applies to version 1.1.0. We update this page and its date when features or ad setup change.
1. Scope and operator
TeamCP develops and operates the Android game “Indie Dev Tycoon” (인디 개발 타이쿤, com.teamcp.indiedevtycoon). This policy explains what information the game handles and the choices you have. Contact: sjw0480@gmail.com.
The game has no account sign-up of its own, no game servers, no chat and no in-app purchases. The only sign-in is the optional Google Play Games sign-in. We do not request or collect your name, email, phone number, location (GPS), contacts, photos or microphone. The app only requests internet and network state (ads and Play Games), the advertising ID (ads) and vibration (release and achievement alerts). If you contact support by email, we use your address and message only to reply.
2. Information stored on your device
This information is kept in the app's private Android storage for game features (continue, offline progress, codex, repeat runs). Only if you use Google Play Games cloud saves is the same content stored with Google as described in section 3; it is never sent to TeamCP servers. The app contains no analytics (such as Firebase Analytics) or crash-reporting tools.
- Your current company: campaign saves (main, backup and office-move checkpoint) and scenario-mode saves
- Cross-run records: achievements, ending gallery, synergy/genre/talent/event codex, hall of fame, legacy points and perks, scenario ranks, run history
- Rewarded-ad ledger: reward IDs and timestamps kept so the same reward is never granted twice
- Settings: language, sound effects, music, vibration, text size, default speed, tutorial status, personalized-ads choice
3. Google Play Games (optional)
When the app starts it tries to sign in automatically with the Google Play Games account set up on your device, and the first time a sign-in window may appear. You can enjoy the whole game without signing in, and you can sign in any time under Settings > Google Play Games.
When you sign in, Google Play Games (Google LLC) processes the following:
- Your Play Games player ID, gamer nickname and profile image (your Google account email is not shared with the game)
- Achievement unlocks and your “Best Run Score” on the leaderboard — leaderboard scores and nicknames may be visible to other players
- Cloud save: a save file bundling your company in progress and cross-run records (achievements, endings, Legacy and so on). While signed in it is uploaded to your Google account's Play Games storage (the app-only area of Google Drive) when you close the app or tap “Save to Cloud”, and can be loaded on another device
TeamCP does not keep this data on its own servers and only sees aggregated achievement and leaderboard statistics in Play Console. Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Play Games Services terms apply to this processing.
4. Android Auto Backup
This app allows Android Auto Backup and device-to-device transfer. If backup is on, Android encrypts the game saves and settings above into your Google Account backup and can restore them when you reinstall or move to a new device.
This backup is a Google feature controlled by your device settings; TeamCP cannot access it. You can turn it off or delete it in Settings > Google > Backup.
5. Ads and the information ad services process
The game is free and supported by ads, served through Unity LevelPlay (mediation) and Unity Ads. It does not include AdMob, Firebase or payment SDKs.
Ads appear as a banner at the bottom of the game screen (if no ad can be loaded, a TeamCP image is shown instead), interstitials only at natural breaks such as release results or the year-end awards and at least 8 minutes apart (never during the tutorial or scenario mode), and rewarded ads that play only when you tap them (such as investment or research grants, up to 15 per day). You can reach every ending without watching ads.
To load and show ads, the ad services may process:
- IP address and approximate region derived from it; device model, OS, app version, language and network information
- Android advertising ID, app set ID and other ad/SDK identifiers
- Information about certain installed apps (for example, whether app stores such as Google Play are installed)
- Ad request, impression, click and completion events, plus error and diagnostic data
These are used to deliver ads, manage frequency, measure performance, prevent fraud and diagnose problems. The app is marked as “not directed to children” with the ad services, and ads rated 17+ are blocked. TeamCP does not receive individual user data from the ad services; we only see aggregated revenue and impression statistics in their dashboards.
6. Your ad choices
Your choice is stored only on your device and passed to the mediation service (Unity LevelPlay) as a consent signal.
- Every player is asked on first launch whether to allow personalized ads, and the ad SDK does not start until you choose. If you decline, you see the same number of ads but they are not personalized, and the whole game remains playable.
- You can change this anytime in Settings > Personalized ads; the change applies from the next launch.
- In Android Settings > Privacy > Ads you can reset or delete your advertising ID. Once deleted, a zeroed value is sent instead and cannot be used for personalized ads.
- Use the privacy icon inside an ad or the Unity policy below to access, delete or opt out of ad data.
- With the internet turned off no ad requests are made, and the game is fully playable offline.
7. Third-party services and international processing
Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads, Google Play Games and Android (Google) services are governed by their own policies. Ad information, Play Games data and backup data may be processed outside your country; see each provider's policy for recipients, locations and safeguards.
TeamCP does not sell your information. However, some laws may treat data processing in the advertising ecosystem as a “sale” or “sharing”, so please also review the opt-out and rights information from the providers below.
8. Deleting data and retention
Game data on your device and your cloud save remain until you delete them. Retention of Play Games, backup and ad information follows each provider's policy. We keep support emails no longer than needed after replying.
- In the game: Settings > Google Play Games > Delete Save Data erases the companies, Legacy, endings and achievement records on this device and, if you are signed in, your Google Play Games cloud save. This cannot be undone.
- On the device: uninstall the app, or use Android Settings > Apps > Indie Dev Tycoon > Storage > Clear data. This does not remove your cloud save.
- Google Play Games: you can remove achievement and leaderboard records and your Play Games profile by deleting the game data or profile in the Google Play Games app (or Play Store) settings.
- Android backup: turn off or delete backups under Settings > Google > Backup.
- Ad information: delete or reset your advertising ID and use the request process in Unity's policy. Uninstalling the app does not erase information ad providers have already processed.
- Need help? Email sjw0480@gmail.com with the app name and your request. Never send passwords or ID documents. For data TeamCP does not hold, we will point you to the right provider's process.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, opt out of sale/sharing, or complain to a supervisory authority. Because TeamCP keeps no game data on its own servers, most requests are handled with the in-game delete option, device settings, Google Play Games or the ad providers, and we will tell you which route to use.
10. Children and parents
Indie Dev Tycoon is a game-studio management sim and is not directed to children under 13. The app is marked “not directed to children” with the ad services and has no age check or parental-consent feature.
If you believe a child under 13 has had information processed, contact us and we will explain how to delete it.
11. Security and changes
Game data is kept in the app’s private Android storage, which other apps cannot read. Ad traffic and backups use each provider’s encrypted connections.
When features, SDKs or processing change, we update this policy and its date and announce important changes on this page. This policy is available in Korean, English, Japanese, German, Spanish and French. If the versions seem to differ, please contact us.
